REACT has chosen three different islands with similar size but with different climate zones, energy requirements and population densities to deploy and demonstrate its potential to reduce GHG emissions and energy costs by 60% and to achieve energy savings of at least 10%.
5 Followers for Wide-Scale Replicability Across EU Islands
The five follower islands will allow partners to develop viable, large-scale replication plans that will measure the project’s socio-economic benefits. They are backed by a “cluster” of partners consisting of an island/regional authority, DSO/ESCO, RTO, and an industrial entity/association.
